Storyline : The story revolves around Vinita Ghoushal ( Geetika Tyagi) who is a divorcee.She was married to Harshit ( Hasan Zaidi) and rhey have a child Masha ( Yusra Tariq) , An incident occurs and Vinita gets arrested for murder of her own father Satyaki Ghoushal ( Ananth Narayan Mahadevan) , The case comes in court and proceedings begin , During the proceedings it is revealed that Vinita was raped and molested by her own father when she was a child , Vinita is living with this trauma when she grows up and realises what her own father had done to her ..She is mentally disturbed with her inner turmoil so much that her .marriage also turns into divorce. After so many years why did she murder her father is revealed during the proceedings which forms the crux of the film
Technical Review: Director Saif Hyder Hasan’s story is unique , there are many movies on rape survivor but this story is different as the protagonist is raped and abused during her childhood and that too by her own father. The dire tor has addressed this sensitivr topic with maturity and subtleness .The screenplay is good which keeps audience glued to their seat.Though the second half is quiet predictable but all the points like family support , legal loopholes in proving rape by own father which is impossible to prove , all these issues are highlighted in the proceedings which is worth a watch
Performances : Geetika Tyagi as the Victim has done a commendable job as showcasing a woman who is traumatized by her past , Geetika has essayed such a challenging role flawlessly .
Ananth Narayan Mahadevan as Geetika’s father do have a late entry in the movie but his performance makes it up plus the master stroke is him singing lullabies will send chill down the spine .Hasan Zaidi as Geetika’ S husband is good , Tejaswini Kolhapure as Geetika’s Lawyer is dependable , Sanjeev Tyagi As Opposition Lawyer goes overboard at times Others are ok as per their role.
Final Words : The film is too sensitive so people who. Crave for content and meaningful cinema should definitely watch this movie .
